#敬老の日 #祖母へ再び 今日は敬老の日だから歌いました。 エルビスコステロのヴェロニカ。 この曲はコステロのお祖母さんが認知症になったときの様子を歌った曲です。 自分の名前すら忘れてしまったヴェロニカが話すのは自分の若い頃の断片的な話。 なぜ認知症になるのかは解明されてないけど自分は祖母のときを経験して思う。 年をとって今までできてたことができなくなって身体が不自由になって確実に死に近づいている不安や恐怖。 その辛さを忘れるための一種の防衛本能ではないか。 若い頃の記憶に戻るのは、大人になると責任やら他人様のことで忙殺されてしまうから、純粋に自分が輝いていた頃に戻るんじゃないだろうか。 亡くなった祖母もヴェロニカと同じような感じでした。 順番で自分の親もいずれそうなる日がくるだろう。 とにかく、なるべく健康で笑って人生を楽しみたいものですね。 ==================== Is it all in that pretty little head of yours?
